Welcome to

The Long Time Academy

We’re so excited to
have you here.

The Long Time Academy is a collaboration between Headspace and The Long Time Project and is produced by Scenery Studios.

Over six episodes, activist and storyteller Ella Saltmarshe will take you on a journey to discover how to become a better ancestor. You will learn from scientists, politicians, economists, artists, philosophers, lawyers and indigenous wisdom-holders.

We hope the podcast will give you a sense of spaciousness and awe. We can’t wait to hear about what it will inspire you to change in your own communities, workplaces and worlds.

Each episode is accompanied by a short practice which will allow you to experience timefulness in new ways. We’ve also created tools to help you get practical with these ideas.

Here’s to the Long Time!

 Meet our host

Ella Saltmarshe

Ella is an award-winning writer and founder, pioneering work at the intersection of culture and systems change. She has set up a number of renowned organisations, communities and campaigns.

Trained as an anthropologist, Ella has worked in international development,  the creative industries and public policy (watch her TEDx talk about being plural here) Working internationally in places like India, Afghanistan and Latin America, opened her eyes to the impact climate change was having over 15 years ago and tackling it has been a driver of her work ever since.

Ella’s burning question is how, as a species, we can create long, flourishing futures for all inhabitants of earth.  And so, she has co-founded the Long Time Project - a movement inspiring individuals, organisations and industries to become better ancestors through collective action.
